Extraction, which premiered on Netflix on April 24, is on its way to becoming the most-watched feature film on the streaming service. On Saturday, Hemsworth released a video statement on his Instagram account, with the following message:

"Hey what’s up guys?," he starts."Hope you're doing well. I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone that checked out Extraction. You've made it the #1 film on the planet right now."

Netflix also issued a statement expressing their gratitude to fans: "Extraction is well on its way to becoming the biggest-ever film premiere on Netflix—with a projected 90 million households getting in on the action in the first 4 weeks," the company wrote. "Thanks to everyone who watched so far!"

So now that we know everyone is freaking out about this film enough to make it the No. 1 movie people are watching, it's time to look into all the hype on Twitter. First, it's important to know that this film is about a black-market mercenary named Tyler Rake who is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord. Obviously, this is a pretty risky, deadly mission, but action movies about deadly missions seem right up Chris Hemsworth's alley.

Hemsworth is obviously feeling the love that people have for his latest big hit. He tweeted that he woke up to find that his Instagram account was absolutely blowing up with likes. "Woke up to a notification saying my new IG acct got put on hold due to unusual activity. Do I already regret this???," he wrote.

Let's take a look at all of this Extraction social media action; maybe this round-up will help the movie's star keep track of all the love he's getting.

People are already calling for a sequel

Fans also already have favorite scenes, and they mostly have to do with women holding weapons

People also apparently love a knife fight

Really, they can't look away

Well, here's an opinion

This just looks like a Chris Hemsworth fan account, but the message is perfect

According to Hemsworth's Instagram story, this is how we should all wish Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson a happy birthday today:
