Last night, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds made their first red carpet appearance since Lively temporarily unfollowed and re-followed him on Instagram to promote her upcoming film, A Simple Favor. This time, they were celebrating his new film, Deadpool 2, and boy oh boy, were they ever that couple. Reynolds lovingly gazed at Lively while posing for photos—which is pretty normal for them:
Lively literally dressed herself up like a Deadpool-themed present to support her husband's film in her Brandon Maxwell dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. She also carried a cool "Party Mix" clutch with her black manicure deliberately chosen to match her outfit:
And to top it all off, Reynolds gushed about Lively to multiple news outlets. He told Entertainment Tonight that he doesn't mind the Mr. Lively moniker. "Oh, I'm Mr. Lively 24/7, and I'm happy about it. It's great. [It's the] best gig." He also thought she "rocked" that outfit she wore in tribute to his character. "If she were Gwenpool I'd be wearing the Deadpool colors as well," he quipped. (Gwenpool, another Marvel character, actually wears pink and white so Reynolds probably did mean he'd stick to his character's red and black.)
He also admitted to People that yes, he does have a soft side that Lively sees. “Oh, I’m a little more [sentimental]. I can lay it on pretty thick. I’ve always been sentimental—since I was a kid.”
