When it comes to wedding guest list etiquette, the question of whether to invite one’s ex-partners is an age-old dilemma. But when the wedding in question is the #RoyalWedding, the rules seem to be a little… different.

Saturday morning’s Royal affair has seen the presence of not one, but two of Prince Harry’s (official) exes in attendance. First up was Chelsy Davy, looking demure in a navy dropped-waist dress with matching capelet and fascinator—not much of a surprise, seeing as she’d already attended William’s wedding to Kate back in April 2011, after having broken up with Harry for good that same year. (The pair dated from 2004 to 2010.)

Next to arrive was Cressida Bonas, 29—the eternally budding model/singer/socialite who hung with Harry from 2012-2014—accessorizing her bright, stripy bodycon with a baby pink fascinator and a rather snacky looking man on her arm. (He doesn’t look much like her most recent BF, ALSO NAMED HARRY!, to me, but a shave has been known to do crazier things.) Rumor is that Bonas was only invited to the public portion of the ceremony, and not the more exclusive private party to follow. Awkward?

So, it’s official: Prince Harry has proven once and for all that you actually can stay friends with your exes—or at the very least, keep things cordial enough to invite them to what’s arguably the most high-profile event of the year, which just happens to be your wedding.

Still, there is at least one Royals-adjacent ex who most definitely won’t be making an appearance at St. George’s Chapel this weekend: Trevor Engelson, who was married to Meghan Markle from 2011-2013. Fox reports that the Los Angeles-based film producer would be “heading out of the country this weekend to escape the mania.” Here’s hoping his flight doesn’t have a layover in London…
