Season two of Riverdale doesn't premiere until Oct. 11 on The CW, which means fans have been holding on to every single detail of the next best thing: set photos from the cast. From KJ Apa's abs to the first official family portrait of the Lodges, the Riverdale set in Vancouver, Canada, has seen plenty — and the new season is just getting underway. According to the official Archie Comics Twitter account, episode one—"A Kiss Before Dying"—just wrapped, and there will be a total of 22 episodes in the second season.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed some hints about season two, but it's still anyone's guess what will happen to Archie's right hand, Joaquin, Fred (!), and Bughead. Here's what's been shared on Instagram and Twitter so far:
1. The Coopers are back. And so is their fall wardrobe!
2. Pop's is still very much the place to be with your mummy dearest on a weeknight. Do click through for the neon details and shots of ~pie.
3. The cast takes the job of running lines very seriously. Most of them anyway.
4. Oh hey, it's Joaquin and Penelope Blossom. OK, this is technically a street party and not the Riverdale set, but what if it's a trick, and Joaquin and Penelope are plotting something shady in season two?!
5. Things will get "narly" according to KJ. What's this about "skin colored jocks?"
6. Mary will be back. Hi, Mary!
7. Varchie is still going strong. This is what I look like whenever my food arrives.
8. Casey Cott (Kevin) has been nice to the "fans." Cute.
9. Including a famous fan, NFL legend Brett Favre. I wonder where Kevin is off to in this scene—a garden party at the Blossoms'? A boat ride with the ghost of Jason? Hmm..
10. When Riverdale's auto shop is closed but you have that road trip to get to. Their. Hands. Are. Touching.
11. The Lodges are already killing it. With their looks anyway. Look at this family.
12. Speaking of Hiram, it looks like he's already popular with the locals.
