Taraji P. Henson's next movie is nothing like Hidden Figures, but she still plays a powerful female lead. In Proud Mary, the actress stars as an assassin whose life is turned around when she meets a young boy who unexpectedly triggers her maternal instinct, according to Deadline.

After news broke of her new role in February, we finally have a first look of Henson in her killer upcoming film, thanks to the release fo the first trailer today. Following female-centric action movies like Wonder Woman and Atomic Blonde, expect Proud Mary to bring the next femme fatale to the big screen.

Production for the film started in April in Boston, Deadline reports. John Stewart Newman (Get Shorty, Days of Our Lives) and Christian Swegal (Caroline and Jackie) wrote the script, and Babak Najafi (London Has Fallen) is directing. Henson's costars include Danny Glover, Margaret Avery, Billy Brown, and Xander Berkeley.
