What do you do when you're heartbroken? Listen to what your elders have to say about love, of course. That's what Cyn—full name Cynthia Nabozny—does in the video for her pretty, stripped-down new single, "I'll Still Have Me," which ELLE.com is premiering today. Set in a seniors' community center, the video captures several sweet, poignant reminiscences of love, past and present. Watch the video above.

"After realizing a break up was imminent, I wrote this song to convince myself that everything would be fine," Cyn tells ELLE.com of the brave and bittersweet ballad. As you can tell from the song's gently tenacious lyrics—"If I don't have you, at least I'll still have me"—the singer has also developed some sage advice for getting through romantic strife: "Focusing on who I am and where I’m headed made me feel less empty and more like I would make it through this heartbreak—finding sanctuary in myself was my safest bet.” Nothing could be a better cure for a torn-up heart—and thanks to Cyn, you have the perfect soundtrack to go along with it.

Cyn, who is signed to Katy Perry's Unsub Records, will be heading on a North American tour with British pop trio Years & Years beginning on October 5. Buy tickets here.
