Robyn "Rihanna" Fenty turned 30 yesterday and had a party for herself, her family, and her friends to ring in the milestone. The bash was at New York City's swanky The Grill restaurant. RiRi arrived dressed in what appears to be the same fuchsia Saint Laurent dress Angelina Jolie wore on the cover of ELLE. She was literally dripping in diamond rings and bangles as you do when you're the birthday girl:
Her three-year-old niece Majesty was also photographed arriving in an actual crown. Her mom Monica Braithwaite was gorgeous in a white gown. Paris Hilton—in a pretty naked dress—and Toni Braxton were seen at the party, too.
Interestingly, photos of RiRi's billionaire boyfriend, Hassan Jameel, haven't surfaced yet. Though chances are, if he attended, he snuck into the party without getting pap'd. The two were last photographed publicly at a Grammys after party a month ago, though not together. They strategically left that separately and have generally kept their relationship private.
The celebration for RiRi's birthday went beyond her actual party. The singer's makeup line, Fenty Beauty, announced a Dirty Thirty limited edition highlighter in celebration of Rihanna's birthday, a gift to everyone.
And RiRi, before her party, posted a heartfelt tribute to her mom on Instagram. "10958 days ago @monica_fenty became a mother for the first time to her only daughter!" she wrote. "Today is just as much your birthday as it is mine! I love you mom! Thank you for carrying me, birthing me, raising me, supporting me, teaching me, and loving me unconditionally! The woman I am today is because of everything that you are! I thank God for perfectly hand picking you to be my mother when He sent my spirit to you! You are the greatest! Thank you! #💕"
Rihanna's mother posted a cute throwback pic of her daughter in her own birthday post to her. "Happy 30th. God's blessings to my 1st born," Braithwaite wrote. "The sweetest, most humble person I know, and most loving daughter ever. Lots of love back to you on your special day.🌷"
