You probably thought you were being really original when you set about organizing your Eleven—you know, from Stranger Things—costume for this year's Halloween festivities, eschewing the usual witch/devil/black cat clichés. You did, didn't you? Didn't you?

Well, we have some bad news.

You aren't.

Everyone is doing exactly the same thing. Well, practically everyone.

According to fashion aggregator Lyst, searches for Eleven-esque apparel have rocketed in recent weeks, despite Halloween still being a good month away.

Eleven, one of the main characters in the cult Netflix series, has one particularly iconic look: a pale pink Peter Pan collar dress, tube socks, and a navy bomber jacket.

Last week, this pale pink Peter Pan collar dress from ASOS was viewed every three minutes via Lyst. Eighty percent of people searching for such a dress also searched for tube socks, and sales of the hosiery item have increased by 34 per cent.

Blue jackets have also seen a spike in searches, with one particular ASOS style receiving almost 90 per cent more views in the last four weeks than in the previous month.

We know what you're thinking now: 'Eleven may not be original, but Barb is!'

Um, wrong again. Sorry.

Since the beginning of August, more than 3,000 people have searched for Barb-style ruffled gingham blouses via Lyst.

Searches for mesh trucker caps are 116 per cent up, which Lyst is blaming on the Dustin character, and there have also been more searches for retro sleeveless puffer vests, like those seen in the series.

Basically, we've all gone Stranger Things mad.
