HBO just bestowed a one-minute-48-second gift on the Game of Thrones-worshipping masses, and even though it's cruel that they expect this to hold us over until July 16, the trailer is chock-full of goodies that'll at least help us get through today:

There's so much happening here you might not know where to start, so let's break it down:

The trailer opens with Cersei looking chic in the Red Keep. She's added a fur because duh, winter is coming and it's getting cold:

"Enemies to the east," she says menacingly, with a flash to Grey Worm, who of course, represents Daenerys:

"Enemies to the west," and a cut to a ship—my guess is it's from the Iron Islands and helmed by Euron Greyjoy:

HBO

"Enemies to the south," and there's a sword, presumably, from Dorne:

HBO

And, of course, "Enemies to the north," and there's Arya Stark (notably, not Jon Snow):

Standing over a killer King Lear-esque floor map, Cersei announces, "Whatever stands in our way, we will defeat it."

"We're the last Lannisters," she says, as Jaime looks grim:

And here's Cersei on the Iron Throne in an amazing look. She's ready for battle with a face that says, "Yes, I will cut you with my dress."

HBO

"The last ones who count." DAMN GIRL. Except you forgot your other brother is on the opposing team. And he has dragons:

Now it's Daenerys's turn: "I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms." She's at Dragonstone, where Stannis used to live.

She's finally landed in Westeros and it's kind of emotional.

And she's got herself a throne:

And now, WAR. It looks like this battle is going down at the Red Keep.

And yay, here's Jon arriving to cries of, "The King in the North!" Be still my heart.

In the Winterfell Hall, Davos sits at Jon's right hand and Sansa at his left, just like in the Season 6 finale, "The Winds of Winter." (For a quick refresher, read that full recap here.)

Littlefinger is back and harassing Sansa: "Your fathers and brothers are gone, yet here you stand. The last best hope against the coming storm." He still wants a coup, because of course.

Honestly PLEASE JUST LET SANSA GET THE STORYLINE SHE DESERVES. If her sole purpose moving forward is playing second fiddle to Jon I'm gonna be furious.

Next, a few quick cuts: the gate at the Wall rises, then Theon stands amidst a shower of sparks. This reminds me of the Battle of the Blackwater for some reason:

And Melisandre has made it south after her banishment. It's tough to tell where she is, but she's watching someone. Perhaps she returned to the Dragonstone, the home she shared with her lover, and plans to ally with Daenerys?

Littlefinger's line, "The last best hope against the coming storm," echoes over the next scene, which appears to show a group of Wildlings running away from something. Not-so-spoiler-alert: the Night King and his Walker army are that storm.

Poor Arya is freezing after slaying Walder Frey:

Littlefinger is still a total creep:

Some Dothraki action shots:

A sea battle (possibly a Greyjoy showdown?):

All this happens as Davos delivers the most chilling line of all, presumably to Jon: "If we don't put aside our enmities and ban together, we will die. And then it doesn't matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne."

Here's a cool shot of Daenerys and Tyrion surveying Stannis's map of the Seven Kingdoms:

The Mountain is still doing Cersei's bidding:

I can't tell who this is but I suspect it's Jon Snow, because that looks like a man bun (apparently the death of this questionable trend hasn't reached Westeros yet). He's running from something—is Winterfell on fire?

HBO

Jon attacks Littlefinger and it's awesome. This looks like the Winterfell crypts—perhaps Littlefinger just told Jon his true parentage? Or Jon realized Littlefinger is plotting against him:

More battling at the Red Keep:

Arya is looking for something (hopefully she didn't lose Needle again):

This is, presumably, Jorah Mormont's arm covered in greyscale. Last time we saw him, (in Season 6 Episode 5, "The Door") Daenerys asked him to seek a cure.

Now the action really picks up. More Dothraki:

Jon, Tormund and co. urgently running from something:

Grey Worm and Missandei appear to be getting it on (but how is a eunuch having sex?!):

Somehow, Yara has reached Dorne, because here she is making out with Ellaria Sand. This could mean Daenerys is seeking an alliance with the Martells.

Someone (my guess is Tyrion) knocks over the Lannister lion on the Dragonstone map:

THERE'S FIRE ON THE WATER and I'm guessing Theon and Yara just escaped it:

Then a preview of that battle—the one being teased as bigger than the Battle of the Bastards:

Even though Cersei's words opened the trailer, Jon's closes it: "The great war is here."

Noticeably absent: Bran, Brienne of Tarth (last seen in a riverboat with Podrick at the end of Season 6 Episode 8, "No One"), and, of course, Gendry, presumably still in that rowboat Davos sent him off in during Season 3.

Only 53 days until we learn the truth 😭😭😭

Game of Thrones returns Sunday, July 16 at 9 pm EST.
