Nearly two years after its season 2 finale had everyone buzzing, Westworld is returning with a long-awaited third season. A new trailer teases a looming battle between humans and Westworld's robotic hosts. "I was born into this world, and my first memories of it are pain," begins Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood). She's now venturing into the "real world" to seek vengeance after escaping the cage of Westworld in season 2.

Of course, Dolores is sure to face opposition, possibly from Aaron Paul's new character Caleb, and most likely from Thandie Newton's Maeve. When Caleb asks Dolores who they're going after, the trailer next cuts to Maeve, who serves looks in a white cocktail dress and is tasked with killing Dolores by a mysterious new stranger (Vincent Cassel).

Set to a cover of Guns N’ Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” the new trailer promises much of what Westworld fans expect from the Emmy-winning show: stunning visuals, intense action sequences, and intrigue about whose demise is next. Returning cast favorites include Jeffrey Wright (Bernard), Tessa Thompson (Charlotte), a weathered Ed Harris (the Man in Black), Luke Hemsworth (Stubbs), Rodrigo Santoro (Hector Escaton), and Simon Quarterman (Lee Sizemore).

Several high-profile additions also joining the eight-episode third season include Lena Waithe, Marshawn Lynch, Michael Ealy, John Gallagher Jr., Vincent Cassel, Scott Mescudi, Tommy Flanagan, and Kid Cudi.

Co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan told Entertainment Weekly that the new season will be more comprehensible than the labyrinthine season 2. "This is season is a little less of a guessing game and more of an experience with the hosts finally getting to meet their makers," he said. He also spoke to the show's radically different look for season 3, which trades the dusty, 19th-century landscape of Westworld for the futuristic human reality. "We always wanted every season to find our characters in radically different circumstances. And with a cast this talented, watching the metamorphosis of all these characters is one of the most fun parts."

Season 3 of Westworld premieres on March 15 at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
